A crisp, chilled glass of wine is the perfect way to cool off in the warmer months. The balmy spring and summer months can make it difficult to choose the perfect wine, especially for those that prefer red wines to white. The best way to beat the heat during happy hour or dinner is to grab a chilled glass of white wine or rosé and relax at your nearest Ruth’s Chris Steak House. If you’re looking for a nice red wine, Pinot Noir has a lightness and refreshing simplicity to it that has made it a popular warm-weather wine.
Wine Selections at Ruth’s Chris Steak House
Ruth’s Chris offers a vast wine selection, perfect for warm-weather dining, ranging from Malbec to Chardonnay and everything in between from all over the world. Order one of your favorite white wines or try something new and go with our delicious French Rosé.
Chardonnay – Chardonnay wines are often more full-bodied than other types of dry whites, with rich citrus flavors. Fermenting in new oak barrels adds a buttery tone. A chilled glass of Chardonnay is a perfect option when dining on the patio in warmer months at Ruth’s Chris. We offer three California selections by the glass that are ideal for cooling off on a warm, sunny day.
Pinot Grigio – Known as light and refreshing, delicately fragrant and mildly floral lemon-citrus flavor. Pair a chilled glass of Pinot Grigio with one of our signature seafood options and you can’t go wrong. This lighter option is perfect for balmy temperatures and ample sunshine.
Sauvignon Blanc – Delicious white wine that ranges in flavor from grassy to mineral to fruity. Sauvignon Blanc tends to be grassier when picked early and fruitier when picked late. The flavors also depend heavily on where the grapes are grown. Sauvignon Blanc is a delicious, slightly sweeter, option to enjoy in the warmer temperatures; we offer one selection from New Zealand and another from Napa Valley on our by the glass list.
Rosé – The primary flavors of rosé are red fruit, flowers, citrus, and melon, with a pleasant crunchy green flavor on the finish. Of course, depending on the type of grape the rosé wine is made with will greatly vary the flavor. This is a great alternative for guests that prefer red wines but are looking for a chilled wine. We offer one selection from Provence, France by the glass that is sure to please every taste bud.
Pinot Noir – Pinot Noir is much lighter in color than other red wines. The flavors and aromas include roses, fruits, black cherry, berry, and currant paired with high acidity and low tannins. This makes for a great option when wanting a red wine in the warm months with the lightness and refreshing qualities. Ruth’s Chris offers three by the glass selections out of California and one from Oregon, each bringing their own unique flavor.
