Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars rose to international fame in 1976 when its 1973 Cabernet Sauvignon stunned the wine world by besting top Bordeaux wines in the historic “Judgment of Paris” tasting. Founded in 1970 by Warren Winiarski, the winery helped put Napa Valley on the global wine map and is revered for its balanced, age-worthy Cabernet Sauvignons. Located on the eastern side of the Stags Leap District, the winery blends Old World elegance with New World innovation and remains a benchmark for fine American winemaking.

Stags’ Leap Winery, founded in 1893, is one of Napa Valley’s oldest and most storied wine estates. Located in the Stags Leap District, the winery is known for its picturesque 19th-century stone manor and its legacy of producing elegant wines that reflect the rugged terroir of the estate. After a long period of dormancy following Prohibition, the winery was revived in the 1970s and has since become renowned for its Petite Sirah and Cabernet Sauvignon. Today, Stags’ Leap Winery continues to honor its heritage with a commitment to traditional winemaking and estate-grown excellence.
