A Bourbon, Whiskey & Cocktail Dinner at Ruth’s Chris Steak House
Raise a glass to an evening built around exceptional American spirits. The Sazerac Dinner at Ruth’s Chris Steak House is a four-course dining experience featuring handcrafted cocktails and pours from some of the most recognizable names in the Sazerac portfolio.
Inspired by the cocktail culture of New Orleans, the evening travels through Wheatley Vodka, Buffalo Trace Bourbon, Sazerac Rye Whiskey, Blanton’s Bourbon and Eagle Rare 10 Year Bourbon, with cocktails and culinary pairings designed to showcase the distinctive character of each spirit.
It’s part cocktail dinner, part whiskey tasting and an entirely different way to experience dinner at Ruth’s Chris.
From Wheatley Vodka to Blanton’s Bourbon
The evening begins with Wheatley Vodka in a bright and bubbly Crescent City Spritz before moving into American whiskey.
Crafted at Buffalo Trace Distillery by Master Distiller Harlen Wheatley, Wheatley Vodka brings the distillery’s generations of spirit-making expertise to a small-batch American vodka. Here’s something bourbon fans may find especially interesting: Wheatley Vodka begins with the same mash bill used for the highly coveted Pappy Van Winkle bourbon before taking an entirely different path through the distilling process. Distilled 10 times, Wheatley’s clean, smooth character makes it a natural starting point for an evening devoted to exploring the Sazerac family of spirits.
From there, discover Buffalo Trace Bourbon in the tropical French Market Sour and Sazerac Rye Whiskey in the classic-inspired St. Charles Vieux Carré.
Then, for the entrée, the cocktail shaker takes a break: Blanton’s Bourbon is served neat alongside Filet with Truffle Crust, giving guests the opportunity to sip, savor and experience the bourbon on its own.
Dessert brings cocktails back into the spotlight with Pontchartrain Dreaming, featuring Eagle Rare 10 Year Bourbon, Buffalo Trace Bourbon Cream, espresso, Madagascar vanilla and cinnamon soft foam.
Discover Wheatley Vodka, Buffalo Trace, Sazerac Rye, Blanton’s Bourbon & Eagle Rare
This one-night-only spirits pairing dinner offers the opportunity to experience an impressive range of the Sazerac portfolio in one evening — from vodka and handcrafted cocktails to bourbon and rye whiskey.
Guests will experience Wheatley Vodka, Buffalo Trace Bourbon, Sazerac Rye Whiskey, Blanton’s Bourbon and Eagle Rare 10 Year Bourbon, discovering how these distinctive spirits can be mixed into cocktails, paired with food and, in the case of Blanton’s, simply poured neat and allowed to shine.
Whether you’re already a bourbon enthusiast or simply looking for a memorable date night, special event or unique dining experience, the Sazerac Dinner at Ruth’s Chris offers an approachable way to explore exceptional American spirits alongside the signature cuisine and hospitality of Ruth’s Chris Steak House.
More Than a Whiskey Tasting
A traditional bourbon or whiskey tasting focuses on what’s in the glass. This dinner takes the experience further.
Each spirit becomes part of a complete culinary experience — from Wheatley Vodka welcoming guests with the Crescent City Spritz and a Buffalo Trace Bourbon cocktail alongside Blackened Ahi Tuna to a Sazerac Rye Vieux Carré paired with Glazed Pork Tenderloin.
The evening reaches its whiskey-forward centerpiece with Blanton’s Bourbon served neat alongside Filet with Truffle Crust, before Eagle Rare 10 Year and Buffalo Trace Bourbon Cream bring the experience to a decadent close with dessert.
The result is a spirits dinner designed around discovery—how spirits complement food, how cocktails can reveal a different side of a familiar bottle and why sometimes an exceptional bourbon is best enjoyed simply poured into a glass.
