Owner and winemaker Joe Wagner chose the name Belle Glos for this winery to honor his beloved grandmother, Lorna Belle Glos Wagner. Lorna was matriarch of the family and co-founder of the world-renowned Caymus Vineyards. A renaissance woman of sorts, Lorna was an avid lover of Pinot Noir (at a time when Cabernet ruled American winemaking) and dreamed of a day that California would produce wines that rivaled the best Burgundian vintages. Just a few decades later, her dream has become reality!
